To promote reading habits and kindle students’ imagination, the Library Department of DPS Chandigarh organised ‘Potter Hop – Harry Potter Week’ from 27th to 31st July 2026 during library periods.
Students of Class V showcased their creativity by making Magic Wands, Class VI participated in the engaging Sorting Hat Activity while Classes VII and VIII designed ‘The Daily Prophet’ Newspapers featuring magical news, weather reports, comic strips and creative advertisements inspired by the Harry Potter series.

The activities witnessed enthusiastic participation and provided students with a unique opportunity to blend creativity with literature in an enjoyable learning environment.

Director Ms. Reema Dewan appreciated the initiative, stated that Reading inspires imagination, creativity and lifelong learning. Such literary activities encourage students to explore books with enthusiasm and joy.
Principal Ms Pawan Singh congratulated the Library Department and the students by saying that Innovative reading activities like Potter Hop nurture creativity, critical thinking and a lasting love for books among students.
The event concluded successfully, reinforcing the school’s commitment to fostering a vibrant reading culture and holistic education.
